School Uniform
Parents are asked to send their children to school in uniform, as this will help children to develop their sense of identity with the school. The correct PE kit is equally important in that it provides the appropriate clothing for specific activities.
Please ensure that all items of clothing and footwear are clearly marked with your child's name.
All logoed school uniform is available at South West Schoolwear in Wine Street, now the main stockist for our school uniform.
Fleeces and showerproof fleeces with the school logo are also available for outside wear.
Children should not wear trainers, pointed heeled shoes or jewellery. Ear studs are permitted. Hairstyles should not be attention seeking. Extreme styles such as sculptured names/symbols, Mohicans or dyed hair are neither appropriate nor acceptable for children of primary school age. For health and safety reasons long hair should be kept out of children's eyes and fully tied up for PE.

We ask that children come into school already changed into their PE kit on the days that they have their PE lessons. This will help to maximise the time our children can spend doing sport and hence being active. We also hope that this change will also help prevent missing PE kit and school uniform.
If your child has a sports club, but does not have a PE lesson that day, they will still need to get changed into their PE kit after school, and will need to remember to bring their PE kit into school with them on the relevant day.
Children with no PE Kit
Swimming
Year 4 children will have swimming lessons during the Autumn and Spring terms, and they will need the appropriate kit and bag. Please note, that Swimming Pools have strict rules about the type of swimwear children are expected to wear. For swimming, boys need to wear appropriate swimming trunks (swim shorts are not permitted) and girls need to wear a swimsuit, not a two piece costume. All children with long hair must wear a swim hat and children must also wear goggles.
